The Black Brigade

The story you are about to read, has not happened...yet. Travel with us now, into a future time, when the Confederate States Armed Forces fights world terrorism - Southern Style. Our story opens in the year 2052, at a time when the Confederacy is an economic and military world power.

The date is 10 May 2052, and it has been more then forty years since the Confederate States of America was liberated from occupation and subjugation. An entire generation has grown up to adulthood knowing nothing of what it was like under occupation, except from text books and the few films and news videos left behind when the Old Yankee Empire collapsed. The States are now completely sovereign over all domestic affairs, the public school system has been dismantled and replace by an inclusive private school system.

Our Confederate history, heritage, culture and nationhood are openly and freely taught and celebrated, having long since become the norm. Monthly or quarterly cultural affairs have become commonplace, along with Southern Ball Dances, uniformed gentlemen Confederate Military men and their Southern Belle ladies. Holidays, parades, and various other functions reflect the mores of an independent Southland. Even the Ole Southern Accent has been re-taught by our private educational system, as well as the Southern entertainment industry. Thousands of stories of Confederate heroes and deeds of valor, left untold during the long years of occupation, now fill our history books and are made into movies.

The Confederate States has become one of the militarily strongest nations upon the Earth. More than a dozen nations have since adopted, in whole or in part, our constitutional system of government. Politically and culturally, we have become the leader of the free world, exporting our produce as well as our culture. But even such a nation as ours has its enemies! Thus enters the Confederate States and sovereign State Armed Forces; we are not unlike that nation which once occupied the Southland, in this respect. We have a Confederate States Army, Air Corps, Marine Corps, Navy, and Border Patrol. In each category we have special commands, which are known as 'special forces' whose operations are properly kept secret.

Yet there is one command, which is different then all the others! A command so secret, its very name and existence has remained unknown - until now. Even as we file this report, the actual name of this extraordinary military command remains classified ' above top secret.' Thus by their nickname they have come to be known as: The Black Brigade! The size of this command, like everything else about them, is also classified, but they are believed to number about the size of a full division in strength. However this is where the similarities to every other military command come to an abrupt end.

The Black Brigade, it has been discovered, has a motto which comes from the Latin 'Numquam Rursus,' translated 'Never Again' or 'Never Hereafter;' a saying which refers to the nearly century and a half of occupation suffered by the Confederate States of America under a foreign power. Their oath of allegiance, which is also a secret, forswears them to make any potential enemy pay with total destruction, should they propose invasion and occupation. These men, we have discovered, have another quaint little saying; "Want a fast track to the afterlife, attack a Confederate!"

Our investigative news team accidentally stumbled upon one of their military bases, when their small private aircraft was forced into an emergency landing. As it happened, it was in an isolated area, bordering The Black Brigade's base of operation. Given the isolated conditions and the chance of perishing due to the elements, a team from the base staged a rescue, and the news team was taken to the base dispensary for medical care. Their injuries were moderate, but they were held over none-the-less for several days’ recuperation.It was during these few days that miniscule bits of information was divulged, just enough for curiosity sake, and no more. The Black Brigade is considered one of the deadliest fighting forces on earth, and operates in a totally secret environment.

It is said they begin were guerrilla and special forces leave off! Their uniforms, equipment, and tactics cannot be made public; therefore our news team was made to swear not to reveal the base's location. These troops are known to strike without warning, heap devastation and total destruction upon an enemy, then disappear without a trace - leaving no evidence behind, save for death and destruction.

They are known to be as precise in their tactics and operations as a brain surgeon! It is claimed they can take out an entire enemy command, whether they are located in a jungle, desert, mountain, or city skyscraper, without as much as disturbing the furniture or foliage. This command was suspected of taking out the entire command structure, along with their guards, at a terrorist stronghold in Bruit Lebanon, after a Confederate States Embassy Marine was killed while off duty.

The attack was obviously so sudden and precise, it was reported the terrorists left behind their plans and even their drinks were still fresh when they were found. The terrorist general had been drinking a Coca Cola, which was still cold, when the bodies were discovered by a roving security patrol. Again, no trace remained, and the terrorist group obviously had decided afterward that it was too risky to attack Confederate States interests in any nation.

What manner of weaponry was used which could so instantly bring on death without any obvious bloodletting? The offices and grounds of the terrorist base was said to show no sign whatsoever of a battle having ever taken place. Additionally, what entry method was used that a battle hardened command of terrorist could be caught off guard, in total surprise, and obviously in the midst of what amounted to a war council? What kind of military force could stage such a strike? The answer to that question lay in the secrecy of The Black Brigade!

On the other end of the scale, an entire base camp of communist revolutionaries in the Philippines was so completely destroyed, no trace could be found, save for ashes. Not even the bodies of the revolutionaries were located! The surrounding terrain was untouched, not even a sign of their having passed through the jungle. Again we are compelled to ask, what possible transport or weaponry could have been used? This particular incident happened after a reported attack last month on a campaign bus, which was owned and operated by a Christian Ministry, in which everyone onboard was killed.

Radical middle-eastern revolutionaries claimed credit for the attack, and even boasted of their deeds! However, they boast no more! The Black Brigade is said to frown heavily upon attacks lodged against Confederate States Citizens and we have no intention of disputing them or their statements! We had a chance interview of an unnamed member of the Confederate States General Staff concerning The Black Brigade. The good general refused to acknowledge or deny their existence, but he was quoted as saying; "Too bad we didn't have several of these commands back during the War for Confederate Independence! Approximately 150 years of cultural genocide would never have taken place."

Afterwards he closed by saying; "I would have loved to have served in the Confederate States Army, when its Commander in Chief was President Jefferson Davis." And to that I must say, Amen! Often times in order to dissuade and enemy in the defense of liberty, a force must be created which is so terrible, none would chance challenging its power or provoking its wrath. Such a force must necessarily be so secret, its existence can only be rumored, save for the annulated enemies left it its wake.

Liberty, freedom and independence is indeed worth so much! This is the only weapon, which will gain their full and undivided attention, humble an enemy and assure a peaceful outcome. Those who refuse to accept the olive branch will then be compelled to yield to a great and terrible sword of wrath. These closing remarks have been made in response to a story and a scenario, none-the-less it is regretful that such issues must be discussed inasmuch as our position is the use of lawful, peaceful and honorable means.

Those who use force, the threat of force or intimidation to subjugate a people or who commit genocide against their history, heritage, culture and nation, are tyrants and despots, whether overt or benign. In like manner the illegal migration of one people into the territory or nation of another, for the purpose of altering their history, heritage and culture, is equally as much of an invasion as would be the use of massive military forces.

n any case, it constitutes a violation of those unalienable rights, endowed in creation by the Almighty God! The Confederate or Southern people have the right to decide for themselves what manner of society, government and nation shall be theirs; these rights cannot be bought, sold, negotiated away or taken from us by military or police forces, their having been a gift from the Almighty God himself. Their denial merely constitutes suppression, while the unalienable rights remain, always.
